After Ian completed a thorough walkthrough, he explained how our team would properly address the issue.

Ian talked to David about installing our GeoLock Wall Anchors to correct the issue. He explained that this innovative system permanently stabilizes foundation walls by anchoring them to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation. He went on to say that the anchors can be tightened over time. David agreed and work began shortly after. 

Our Foreman, Tanner, and his crew headed out to the cabin and got to work. The team installed 75of our GeoLock anchors throughout the basement wall. They discussed with David that it is recommended to use the tightening kit every 4-6 weeks and that we would be in contact in 9-12 months to schedule his 1st Annual Maintenance. At the end of the project, David was happy to know that his basement walls were no longer an issue.

Since this foundation's floor and footing comes as one piece, DryTrak was the correct interior drainage system to use. He explained that because the portion being lifted was so small, the helical pier would be the best choice because of its ability to be pulled into the soil during installation, providing anchoring strength as the weight of the foundation is transferred to the pier. He went on to say that the helical pier is very versatile and typically used for lighter loads. Renae agreed and work began a few weeks later. Our Foreman, Cameron, and his crew worked diligently to install 4 of our helical piers around the troubled portion of the foundation. Once the job was completed, Renae was happy to know that she could resume business without worrying about her sinking foundation!
