A Thief River Falls, MN, homeowner had been aware of several cracks in his foundation for some time now. He was beginning to think about reselling his home and knew that he had to have the problem fixed before he could list his home. Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dylan J, headed out to the home. He completed a full inspection of the foundation and then met with the homeowner. He began by stating that foundation walls are not designed to withstand pressure on the side of the wall. So when the pressure being exerted ends up being more than the wall can withstand, it's not uncommon for homeowners to see cracking, bowing, tilting in at the top, and/or sliding in at the bottom. Dylan went on to say that he was recommending our GeoLock wall anchors, an innovative system that counteracts the pressure on the wall by anchoring the wall to the hard-packed undisturbed soil beyond the foundation. Next, the crew shifted to installing CleanSpace on all the basement walls. After all the products were installed, the crew cleaned the job site and left the home better than it was before.
