Raquel in Bird Island, MN had water seeping through her block foundation in her basement. She started researching professional waterproofing contractors and found American Waterworks’ website. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew, to her home to inspect her basement and provide her with a solution.

Raquel was impressed with our waterproofing system, so she decided to move forward with the project. Our production crew started the installation by removing the perimeter of the concrete floor to create a trench for the WaterGuard drainage system. They installed the SuperSump sump pump in the corner of the basement and then laid the drainage system in the trench. The WaterGuard connects to the sump pump so water can properly exit the home. The installation only took a day to complete and she was pleased with the result. She is glad she chose to invest in the long-term protection of her basement!

Jerome B. of Cold Spring, MN had cracks in his foundation, and water was leaking into his basement, causing him to worry about potential water damage in his basement. He got in contact with American Waterworks and finding us on HomeAdvisor. He called our office line and scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Shane. Our Foreman, Lane, and his production team started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our crew installed our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain, which prevents water clogs and serves as an underground drain. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier, which prevents mold and humidity, and gives the basement a neat, clean appearance. Then, our crew installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System and our Aprilaire Dehumidifier. Our TripleSafe is the most efficient sump pump system that we have because of its triple layers of protection, and its ability to solve all three water problems in one unit. Our Aprilaire Dehumidifier creates healthy air and reduces the number of viruses in the air. To complete the installation, Lane and his team filled the open gaps in the floor with river rock and pea gravel and applied a new layer of concrete, ensuring the basement water neater and cleaner than when they found it.
