Our Foreman, Edgar Miranda, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our crew installed 64 feet of our WaterGuard Drainage System. Our WaterGuard is one of the most efficient waterproofing repair products. It acts as an underground drain, collects water from basement walls and prevents water clogs. To complete the project, Edgar and his team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. An Olivia, MN, homeowner had recently learned about the dangers of radon gas on a household. She decided to head to her local home improvement store to purchase and conduct at-home radon level tests. Tony explained that a typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. When installed by an experienced professional, a radon mitigation system will lower the concentration of radon gas in the interior of the home to the minimal levels recommended by the EPA and other health and safety agencies.
