Radon Mitigation in Lynd, MN

Cassidy B. in Lynd, MN  had her home tested for radon. When the results came back high, she started doing some research. She was happy to learn that American Waterworks can easily give an estimate and install a radon mitigation system. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Reed Hudson, to meet with Cassidy, inspect her home, and design a customized system.

Our Foreman, Dakota Merchlewitz, started the installation process by drilling a hole in the slab foundation of the home and connected a PVC pipe. The radon gas is drawn upward and the pipe guides it to the fan. The fan draws and vents radon safely above and away from the home. Cassidy was impressed with the quick installation and is glad she took the necessary steps to protect her family.

Radon Mitigation in Ivanhoe, MN

Dan R. in Ivanhoe, MN had learned about the dangers of radon gas and decided that he needed to get his home tested. The test results showed a high level of radon. Our Design Specialist walked him through the radon mitigation installation process and answered his questions. Dan wanted to act quickly and moved forward with an installation date.

During the installation process, our Foreman, Dakota Merchlewitz, drilled a hole through the floor in the basement to insert a PVC pipe and create a suction point for the radon gas. Then the gas is vented through the pipe and out of the home. Dan is relieved that he took the necessary steps to make sure his family's health is no longer compromised.

Radon Mitigation Instillation in Fargo, ND

A customer in Fargo, ND, contacted us with concerns about possible Radon being prevalent in her home. Our Design Specialist, Ian, went to the property and completed a charcoal test to gauge the levels in her home. After 5 days, Ian returned to gather the test. Once the results came back, Ian found out that the levels in the house were 6.2 pCi/L. The Nation Radon Defense suggests taking action with levels of 4 pCi/L or more. Ian recommended that she invest in a Radon mitigation system to keep herself and her household safe and healthy. Our Foreman, Cameron, went out to the property to install the mitigation system. Our team will check back with the customer in the future to ensure that her Radon mitigation system is still working hard to keep her home safe!

Radon Mitigation System Installed in Valley City, ND

A couple from Valley City, ND got in contact with us when they decided they wanted to get their house tested for Radon gas. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that has become the second leading cause of lung cancer, second only to cigarette smoke. The couple knew that testing for the dangerous gas was incredibly important. When they called in, we set them up with our FREE estimate, entitling them to a thorough inspection of the issue by one of our Design Specialists. Once the appointment had been set, our Design Specialist from our Fargo branch, Kole, headed out to the property. When he arrived, he informed the homeowners that he would be leaving a charcoal test behind for 48 hours. He went on to say that the test would sit in the home and at the end of the 48 hours, would be able to tell the levels of Radon in the home. Once the 48 hours was up, the couple sent their test out, and it came back measuring 7.9 pCi/L. Kole informed the couple that the World Health Organization recommends taking action to fight Radon at a 2.7 as 1pCi/L of Radon is equal to 2.5 cigarettes smoked a day. Kole recommended that the couple looks into installing a Radon Mitigation System in the home. He explained that this system works to pull Radon from the home and then pipe it up and outwards from the home. The couple quickly agreed and work began shortly after.

Our Fargo-based Foreman, CJ, and his crew worked quickly and efficiently to install the new system in the home. Once work was complete, the couple was relieved to know that their Radon issue had been addressed and dealt with.

Sidewalk Repaired in Alma, WI

A homeowner in Alma, WI, knew it was almost time to have their concrete replaced. With all the cracks and unevenness, the crew was concerned with the safety of the sidewalk. The homeowner wanted to avoid having their concrete replaced, so they looked for repair options. After comparing all of the concrete repair companies, the homeowner's eye was caught by our high ranking and reviews. The homeowner went to our website and reviewed all of our concrete services. Knowing we were the best option for concrete repair, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. When the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Chuck. After Chuck arrived at the home, he introduced himself to the homeowner and began investigating the sidewalk in front of the home. Chuck determined that the sidewalk was sinking due to soil settlement. After he found the cause of the issue, Chuck could provide the homeowner with a suggested plan of action. Chuck recommended the sidewalk be lifted and leveled using PolyLevel, our polyurethane foam injection solution. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed with Chuck's suggestions. Once they received the stamp of approval, the crew traveled out to the home to begin production. Our Foreman, Dylon, and his crew arrived and began by preparing the sidewalk for the PolyLevel installation. When the sidewalk was ready, the crew inserted the PolyLevel beneath the sidewalk. After the PolyLevel was installed, the crew inserted the NexusPro Joint Sealant into the cracks of the sidewalk. After the sidewalk was properly lifted and leveled, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was grateful for the wonderful work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to assist its customers in accomplishing their concrete goals.
